Sweden House With Passive Heating – Villa Nyberg

Villa Nyberg is a part of the first series of Sweden passive houses designed
by Kjellgren Kaminsky. It’s designed as environmentally friendly house
and is situated in Borlänge, central Sweden. The idea of passive houses is based
on the knowledge that people and household equipment generate a lot of energy.

That’s why passive houses are extremely well-insulated buildings that are largely
heated by the energy already present in the building. Energy simulations
shows that Villa Nyberg will have an energy consumption for heating
of only 25 kWh/m²year.

Reduced heat loss is an another important feature of the house.
The round shape of the villa eliminates coldbridges and reduces
the enclosing wallarea of the house.
